Saturday June 5th Georges Park 12-4pm
….was a fantastic day for the community. Over 1,000 people including 40 community and mainstream partners came together in Georges Park to enjoy the sunshine, the bouncy castles, football, ice cream, mountain bikes, and talk to stall holders about services residents can access for free.

Saturday 5th June in Georges Park Neighbourhood management is organising a big event for all the family. Come along and have some fun. Find food and things to do. Talk to all the people who provide services locally. Have a free Health Check. Join in with activities for everyone, children, young people, women and families. More details soon.
NHS Constitution – addtional patients rights
In January 2009 an NHS constitution was published which includes 25 patients’ rights, all of which are underpinned by law and are legally enforceable.
The Department of Health is currently consluting on some new patients’ rights and is seeking views on them. The Heart of Birmingham PCT (which covers our area in Lozells) is keen to encourage people to get involved in the consultation process – with responses required by 30 January.

Women Embracing Diversity

A free event to celebrate and embrace women within the city of Birmingham will be held on March 6th at Holte School between 10.00am and 1.o00pm
You are invited to network and participate in workshops on employment and access information on a range of services provided by West Midlands Police, Midland Heart Housing, Health Exchange, Family Housing, West Midlands Fire Service and others in areas such as health, disability, carers, educatons, child care service etc.
There will be entertainment and – best of all – free pampering sessions!!

Urban Living Board: Resident Appointments
Are you someone who would be interested in joining the Urban Living Board and being part of the Housing Regeneration Programme?
If the answer is YES and you are keen to make a difference to the regeneration of local neighbourhoodsm then the role of community board member could be just for you!
To apply you must be over 18 and live in one of the following areas covered by Urban Living: Greets Green/Central West Bromwich, Smethwick, Handsworth, Winson Green, Lozells, Newtown, Aston
