Holte Community Arts Fayre Saturday July 10th 12.30-4.00

Holte are holding another fantastic community event this Saturday.  Go along and have some fun.

As well as the fayre there is a concert in the school from 12.30 – 3.00 but entry to the concert is by ticket only from Holte School in advance.

Go along on Saturday and join in this great community event.

Saturday June 5th Georges Park 12-4pm

….was a fantastic day for the community.  Over 1,000 people including 40 community and mainstream partners came together in Georges Park to enjoy the sunshine, the bouncy castles, football, ice cream, mountain bikes, and talk to stall holders about services  residents can access for free.

Women Embracing Diversity

A free event to celebrate and embrace women within the city of Birmingham will be held on March 6th at Holte School between 10.00am and 1.o00pm

You are invited to network and participate in workshops on employment and access information on a range of services provided by West Midlands Police, Midland Heart Housing, Health Exchange, Family Housing, West Midlands Fire Service and others in areas such as health, disability, carers, educatons, child care service etc.

There will be entertainment and – best of all – free pampering sessions!!

Soho Road events: Saturday 23 January

On Saturday 23 January a series of events will be held onSoho Road as part of a project to develop and improve Soho Road at the heart of the local community.

Community Journalist Workshop 

Between 10.00 and 12.00 noon there will be an opportuit to be part of helping to build a local community newspaper. This workshop will be held at Handsworth Library and will include looking at how the latest digital technology can be used to capture the local stories that residents want to tell about their own area. Living Room – Family Craft Workshop

Make a hanging basekt and pledge to make a difference to the neighbourhood. This event will be held in the car park outside KFC on Soho road and will also include the chance to relax in a ‘Living Room’ created by local children from Rookery Road school with refreshments provided by the Handsworth Park Boathouse Cafe.
