South Lozells Green Doctor
Family Housing Association are being funded by Urban Living to launch a programme in South Lozells especially to help Home Owners to reduce heating bills by making use of environmental improvements and activities.
Negus Downer from Family Housing is the Snior Resident Liaison Officer and he is assessing applications from residents for the installation of solar panels. All applications for solar panels will be reviewed on 7 January. Martin Clarke has been appointed as the ‘Green Doctor’ for the area. He will be visiting home owners to discuss their circumstances and look at their needs and requirements. It is estimated that through the simple application of a range of energy saving measures home owners can save up to 35% on their fuel bills – something to be welcomed during the chill winds of the credit crunch!
Look out for Negus and Martin who will be in the area until early in the new year.

The programme is funded by Urban Living and celebrates the culture and pride of the local community, its heritage and its future.
Projects will be selected through open competition and application through submission. The deadline for submissions in Monday 22 December.
Information about the project and about how to make a submission can be obtained by contacting Tim Triance on 0121 303 6360 or email tim.triance@birmingham.gov.uk
