Community Grants – ESF

Community Grants – What are they?

Grassroots grants – a new initiative to fund community based projects and activities in Birmingham, Dudley and Walsall.

A fantastic opportunity for community based groups

Eligible groups can receive between £250 and £5000 as a one off payment

The European Social Fund aims to extend employment opportunities to everyone.

Some people are a long way from returning to the job market and not quite ready for mainstream education and training programmes.

This scheme aims to bridge the gap with the Community Grants initiative.  They are looking for local groups, which help the workless move closer to employment by funding projects that deliver basic employment schemes and experience.

Voluntary sector organisations with an annual turnover of less than £100,000 can apply for up to £12,000 to run projects that meet the criteria.
