There will be updates from the Lozells Neighboourhood Police Team, the new GP practgice at Finch Rd Medical Centre, Family HOusiing Association and the Lozells Neighbourhood Manager

The Stephen Lawrence Trust are working with Urban Living to select youg design talent. A design workshop will be held on Friday 24 April at the Custard Factory and will involve 40 young people working with architects and urban designers on a creativ project. A few of the participants will be selected to receive a scholarship to Harvard Design School in the USA.

Participants should be between the ages of 18 and 25 and can complete an application form online at www.architectureforeveryone.org.uk

A new webiste has been launched which forms part of the consultation on new housing development options in South Lozells. You Can Plan Lozells can be found here http://www.vision-lozells.org/

By going into the site you can take a ‘virtual tour’ around the area, look at the options which are being proposed and see how they would look if they were to be implemented. The site is part of the consultation process and you can comment on any aspect of the proposals which are being put forward.

Over the next week newsletters will be delivered to every household in South Lozells with full details of the consultation and with a dvd which includes the You Can Plan Lozells software.

The latest in the series of Community Dialogue events being held in Handsworth and Lozells is aimed particularly at younger people. The event will be held at Handsworth Leisure Centre in Holly Road, B20 2BY. The session will run from 3.30 to 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome to come and take part and help make their contribution towards a vision for the future for Handsworth and Lozells.
