Free workshops about Working Neighbourhoods Fund bids
If you represent an organisation that intends to apply for Working Neighbourhoods Fund money, then you may be interested in this from i-SE:
In April and May, I’SE (i-Social Entrepreneurs) will be delivering a series of 12 half-day workshops to help organisations to prepare for the Working Neighbourhoods Fund (WNF) future commissioning round on the ‘worklessness’ theme.
Workshops on offer include:
- writing your tender,
- building your cluster/partnership,
- full cost recovery, and
- measuring your impact.
(See attached Word document for full list of courses: click here)
These workshops are targeted at social enterprises and voluntary organisations which intend to either lead a commissioning bid or be partners in a local constituency partnership bid or a cross-city strategic bid.
Please book early as places are limited!
The workshops are free of charge, except for ‘Women into Leadership’.

Eco Girl coming to your school soon!
During April and May 2009 Pawprints Theatre Company will be bringing a performance of Eco Girl to all the primary schools in Lozells. In an exciting and fun packed musical show Eco Girl will be fighting against her enemy Ronnie Rubbish and teaching children to reduce, reuse and recycle. The children will also be reminded not to drop litter but to put it in a bin or in their pockets. Once children have seen the show, parents can expect to be reminded by their children to always use their green and blue recycling boxes
