Handsworth Play sent us a list of events for 2009. All are free of charge and take place in Handsworth Park. All parents and children are welcome to go along and join the fun!
Saturday 23rd May: Kite, wind sock and mask making with Playful Minds. 12 am till 7 pm by the Café Boathouse
Saturday 13th June: Den building session with creative play workers, Lupton and Lewis, from 11 am until 4 pm by Holly Road Gates
Friday 24th July: ‘Snakes, Spiders and Furry Creatures’ with Zoolabs. 12 pm till 5 pm outside Sons of Rest Building.
Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th, Friday 18th September: Storywalks with storyteller Clive Cole. Meet at the Leisure Centre. 5 pm-5.45 pm on16th and 17th; 6.30 to 7.30on 18th.
Week beginning October 5th: Create an autumn collage on the bridge in the park.
Handsworth Play is a voluntary group campaigning for better play opportunities for local children. All enquiries to handsworthplay@gmail.com.
