Local Democracy Week in Lozells schools

Author: As part of Local Democracy Week (which is this week) the Perry Barr Youth Forum are visiting a number of schools in Lozells. On Tuesday and Wednesday they are visiting Heathfield, Lozells and Mayfield Schools and on Friday they go to Holte School.
The Youth Forum are presenting during a 15 minute school assembly where they:
- Tell the young people who they are and what they do
- Ask them if they know what Local Democracy Week is
- Ask them questions about the local area and what they would like to see change and improve
- At the end of the assembly the Youth Forum collect all the opinions from the young people in the schools and these will then be put together as a report which can help your Neighbourhood Management Board to improve services in the local area
This project is being filmed and the footage can be viewed on the Local Democracy Week website (see link below) and hopefully we’ll also be able to upload to this site here.
