Message from Police Chief Inspector – Keep your young people at home tonight
Please see attached message from Chief Inspector Sean Russell of West Midlands Police.
Tonights activities on the streets of Birmingham City Centre are disgraceful and by no means acceptable as a means of protesting against anything including the death of a gentleman in London with Police involvement and/or disaffection of young people not in employment. It is important that those responsible for bringing our great city of Birmingham into disrepute are bought to justice asap.
Please ensure that your children, family and friends are at home tonight to prevent them getting held up in the middle of disorder in the city.

Neighbourhood Forum public meetings are THE place to find out about what’s happening in Lozells but oh dear they take place in the evenings and usually women with family commitments cannot attend.
So….. YOUR Neighbourhood Forum is arranging its next meeting during the day so mums and dads usually busy with kids in the early evening can come if they are free in the day.
The meeting is taking place at Anglesey Infant School on Wednesday May 25th starting with refreshments at 9.00, just after you have dropped the kids at school.
We really hope you can come.
