PEACE WALK IN LOZELLS SATURDAY JUNE 25TH
| June 25, 2011 | ||
| 10:00 am | to | 12:15 pm |
The Lozells Project invites all faith groups in Birmingham to join one another on this walk.
The most important thing about this day is that its purpose is to
pray for God’s peace as we walk and visit the various places of worship in Lozells.
10.00am – Buddhist Maha Vihara – 216 New John Street West. B19 3UA
10.45am – St Mary’s Convent – 101 Hunters Road. B19 1EB
11.30am – Faizul Quran Jamia Mosque Lozells, 213-217 Lozells Road. B19 1RJ
12.15pm – Sri Dashmesh Sikh Temple – 305 Wheelers Street. B19 1HH
The walk starts with coffee etc and finishes with lunch at the Sikh Temple. The event is free but there will be the opportunity to make a small donation to cover the cost of these.
NB Please bring head covering. Some venues will ask that you cover your arms and legs also.
Want to take a group for a day out? Take the police up on their generous offer
The police have a minibus which they use to support the community. It seats 15 people and is driven by two local PCSOs Nigel Smith and Dave Mogridge. If you want to organise a day out they will take you – no charge! Just call 0121 428 6155 and ask whether it is available when you want to go. This is a fantastic communnity service by the local police but obviously it is popular so phone and book NOW!
