There is an innovative local NHS & B’ham City University programme supporting health professionals from refugee communities, to train to qualify in the UK by overcoming barriers. This programme has evidence of success for previous participants. Lynda and other colleagues in local PCTs have in recent years engaged a lot with the refugee communities in the city; and this is a brilliant example of local agencies responding.
