HARMONIZE – Read all about this new project in Lozells run by young people
Mobeen, the project leader writes:-
Harmonise is one of nine social action projects developed by this year’s young people, who were selected for the Birmingham Uprising Leadership Programme 2011. Harmonise will work with Birmingham’s multi-faith communities, starting with the area of Lozells. Harmonise hopes to bring people from different communities and faiths together encouraging them to learn about one and other’s religion and culture, concentrating in particular with mothers and young children. By organising social community meetings, encouraging people from different faiths to interact, Harmonise hopes that families from across Lozells will integrate with one and other and break down barriers.(Mobeen Amin, Harmonise team leader, moby21088@yahoo.co.uk)
Mobeen and Harmonise are part of a bigger young leadership project called Uprising. Follow the link to read more. http://uprising.org.uk/node/42
